Introduction - How to Use AI to Grow your Business

Welcome to the first video of this BotBuilders basic series. My name is Matt Leitz. I'm the founder of BotBuilders. This video is all about how to use AI to grow your business because you already know that when used right, AI can multiply output. And when you use it the way that our students and our clients use it, AI can increase your revenue and decrease your cost.

In this video, I'm gonna give you a very high level understanding of what it is that you need to know and what it is that you need to do. After building businesses for 20 years, some have gone on to do millions and others have lost me more money than I care to admit. Trust me when I tell you that you need every advantage that you can.

Every business in the world can greatly benefit from AI even if you don't yet have a business, AI creates massive opportunities. 

Clarifying AI

When we talk about AI, I wanna separate the technical stuff from the practical tools that small business owners like you and like me are going to use.

You won't hear me talking about large language models or neural networks in this video. Yes, we do use the latest and greatest models, but we leverage tech from bigger companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta. Even using these tools in the different technologies that we build here at BotBuilders.

In this video, we're gonna focus on AI that actually drives results. 

Two General Ways to Use AI

I want you to wrap your head around the different ways that you can use AI to your advantage, and there's really two general ways that you can use AI. 

Number one is that you can use AI tools to enhance your work, and this is called Generative AI. That means something goes in and something else comes out. This could mean that text goes in and text comes out. You're probably already familiar with popular tools like ChatGPT, Claude and Grok and others. 

Which one's the best? Honestly, they are all mind blowing. I'm personally partial to ChatGPT because I've used it so much that it knows me. So just know if you're using any of these tools, that's one of the major breakthroughs you can have.

But regardless of which tool you use, the possibilities are limitless. You can do everything that you need. And I'm talking from business planning, to writing scripts for your next ad to getting advice, on how to handle a major business challenge. 

And then beyond that, there's also specific tools that are for very unique specific purposes. For Generative AI images like Mid Journey and Stable Diffusion. For Generative AI tools for video like Google and Kling.

Some are ideal for animating images, for creating AI avatars. I’ll explain a lot more of this on our free web class, it's webclass.ai and I’ll give you the list of all the best videos for all the best purposes.

But for now, just realize that there's an AI tool for anything that you can imagine. For example, our AI marketing tool can do things like write ads, create email sequences, make eBooks and fully designed eBooks. And it's not like our tools are the only ones out there. There's tons of tools that can do things like design.

They can do accounting. They can do legal. Anything that you could imagine, AI can help you do it faster and help you do it better. They're many possibilities today and for people like us, the dreamers who wanna do big things but don't always know how, or don't have the resources or the money, AI can be like pure magic.

Real-Life Example

I'll give you a perfect example. I've been in the online business world since I was in my early twenties. In my entire career, I struggled to build tech teams to build the things that I needed, like the apps and the websites. Now I can literally build something myself. And I don't know how to write a word of code and I can do it in as little as a day.

It's just remarkable. Still blows my mind. And our AI course, if you want to go deeper into this, goes into more of the various tools and which ones you should use, when and how you use them. But look. Even if you don't have our programs and just do this basic course and you're looking for a particular AI tool just something to get done, you can always just go to Google or better yet ask ChatGPT, and it's gonna tell you the latest. It's gonna tell you what tool you need for what purpose. And here's another hot tip, if you don't know how to use AI, just ask it.

Quick Demo in ChatGPT

Let's actually do a super quick demo here inside of ChatGPT. And I'm guessing that you've already used ChatGPT, but I want you to pay attention to just how the collaboration can go and how you can make the most of it. For this example “I want to raise money for Desert Voices oral academy which is a nonprofit school that teaches hard of hearing and deaf children to speak. It is where our son, Noah, went to school and I am on the board. Please give me a list of fundraising ideas that are fun and involve the kids.” See what we come up with. And a lot of people think you're gonna have the perfect prompt to. You don't. Just tell ChatGPT what you want to do and then start a collaboration.

Voices of the future, A talent show, Art from the heart, An art auction,  Mini milestone marathon, Lemon aid stand hearing aids, Story Time Theater, T-shirt Design contest, “Hear me read” book fair. We got a lot of ideas here.

So we're gonna pick one of these. Silent disco, loud impact. I like that. If you haven't done a silent disco, these are a blast. It's where everybody wears headphones and dances. So these kids, none of 'em would have special headphones. Actually, nope. We're gonna axe that. A lot of them probably wouldn't be able to do that. Let's do Voices of the Future. “Please make a detailed plan and provide all details needed to make it happen”.  

Now what this is doing is making a plan, and  even putting this in a table, and this is a really good point here. So obviously, ChatGPT is mostly text in, text out. But just know, it can take different formats of text in, meaning that you could put in a PDF or you could put in an Excel spreadsheet.

I can't tell you how much time this has saved me just uploading stuff to ChatGPT and saying, “Hey, analyze this legal contract and tell me if you see anything wrong” or “Take this spreadsheet and see where we might be able to save money” or “what in the spreadsheet is repeated”.

Just know that. It can take all sorts of formats in and it can spit all sorts of formats out. So you can get design files that you can put into Canva, you can put Excel files, have Excel files spit out of this thing. All sorts of different stuff. But I love how it's organized. It's got a program flow.

This is amazing. Fundraising channels. Sponsorship levels. How much time is this gonna save you? So let's just say that we want to take one particular thing here. “Can you please create a detailed budget and put it into an Excel spreadsheet for me?”

I just wanna show you that it can spit different stuff out besides just text. And while it's doing that, if we think, what else we want to, what else do we need to do for this thing? We probably wanna design some cool stuff. Look, there you go. Designed your Excel sheet for you.

“Can you please create a logo for this event?”. And it's gonna start creating a logo. That'll take just a minute, but the reality of it is that there's probably more things that ChatGPT can do than what it can't do.

There's nothing that I do where I don't start in ChatGPT. And yes, there's other ones. There's Claude, there's others, there's Grock. I personally love ChatGPT because not only do I find the quality to be the best and that they're furthest ahead, but also I find that the design that it creates is also amazing in my opinion.

So this is the first version for a logo here. Look at this. Voices of the future. This is a legit sitting. I'm a board member of this organization. This is a legit thing that I would propose this idea, I would bring this logo and I would make this happen. Let's get back into it.

The biggest thing is to create the habit of using AI. And when you do, it's gonna make a huge difference in your productivity, and it's gonna help fuel your business growth. That was strategy one. 

AI That Works While You Sleep

Strategy number two, is get AI working for you 24 hours a day. Seven days a week. We were talking about generative AI before, now we're talking about conversational AI and most specifically bots and chat bots. That is what we focus on here most at BotBuilders, and we're gonna go deep into chatbots, AKA bots.

Chatbots are interactive two-way chat-based tools that you can use to have running in lots of different places, like on your website or social media via text message. And we love bots because they help with so many things. They help with leads, sales and support.

There's also voice bots, which is another one of our specialties here at BotBuilders. These allow people to have conversations on the phone, getting information that they need 24 hours a day, connecting with humans, and booking appointments. But beyond chatbots and voice bots, there's another class of AI that can work for you around the clock, and these are called Autonomous AI agents.

AI agents are tools that don't just generate content or conduct a conversation, they actually go to work for you. They can log in to your systems and get things done. And there's a number of companies that have Agentic AI capabilities. Open AI has an operator. Google has autonomous bots and there's lots and lots more.

There's niche AI agents as well. You can expect that this is an area. AI agents is an area that's gonna continue to evolve and get better every single day. 

Recap: Two Core Strategies

So just to recap really quickly. Two basic ways that you can use AI. 

Number one as a tool to increase your productivity using tools like ChatGPT or more specific tools like design, video or anything that you can imagine. And then number two, get AI to work for you 24 hours a day using agents and bots that are talking to your customers or potential customers around the clock. This is the stuff that we really focus on here at BotBuilders. We do AI different than anyone. We combine the best AI by what's been proven to work, then we automate it to work around the clock.

Final Thoughts

But beyond the actual technology and all the different tools, the most important skill for you to acquire when we're talking about AI, the thing that can be the absolute game changer for you is how you think about AI. And I'm serious about this. Imagine that you are now three people. Okay? You got you.

The AI tools that you're using while you work and the AI that works while you sleep, you're now tripled. And if you've got a team, that's even better. So now everyone on your team is tripled too. At BotBuilders, we don't believe the AI is about replacing humans. We believe that it's about making humans better.

You can achieve more, do more, expand and dream big. If you don't have a business yet, no problem, start one. AI can make it possible. If you do have a business, it is time to grow that thing. Take on projects that you weren't able to do before because of staffing limitations or budget limitations.

That stuff is all a part of the past. AI is not the future. It is now. And look, AI is not some kind of magic bullet. Business is still business, but AI can be an absolute game changer for you because at the end of the day, AI is about more than just making money. It's about saving time, which we all know is your most valuable asset.

So invest a little bit of time now. Learning these tools and how to harness this technology and just see where your business can go. So with that said, we're just getting started and I will see you in the next training video
